Yigang Sun is a Research Engineer with the Indoor Climate Research and Training group at the Illinois Applied Research Institute.
Yigang specializes in measuring, simulating, and controlling indoor airflows and air quality. His current research interests include residential building indoor air quality, indoor climate comfort, ventilation, heating and cooling, and energy efficiency. Prior to joining ICRT, he worked as a senior research engineer in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on characterizing indoor air ventilation and air quality, and developing bio-energy technology. Yigang earned his B.S. degree and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jilin University of Technology, and his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
